#50 vs the Chargers

Stay connected for news and updates

Last week #50 put on a display of what Cards fans should be seeing for years to come. A strip sack. Pressure on the QB. A few nice stops against the run. We all saw the potential, the film doesn't lie. People say it was against the 2nd string. What does that mean? He was placed on the field, 11 opposing men faced him and his squad, and he won his match-up on a few occasions. Potential is one thing, but what I'm sure the Cards coaches want to see and what I want to see from Schofield is this. Hit the jump for more.

Consistency. Understanding of the D and his responsibility within the scheme. To pressure the QB, generate sacks and cause ball separation. The ability to play the run. To drop into flats coverage. On a constant basis.

#50, potential + consistency = superstar.
