How are we feeling about Kolb so far?
I write for the BGN (the Eagles SBN site). Was just curious what you think of KK so far.

Kolb has looked good so far...
Considering his limited time with the offense (team in general), he has looked poised in the pocket and shown a good ability to get away from pressure. He has made good decisions when it comes to throwing the ball away or taking off running. He has no ints in his first three games which says a lot. I’m not too concerned with the “lack” of production (one throwing td) as they have moved the ball well and should really have capitalized on a few more plays. I am so far pleased with his performances and only see him getting more comfortable and confident with time. I believe he is by far the biggest positional upgrade the Cards made this offseason, and at the most important position.
Feeling way better about our QB situation than last year at this time.
That includes our back up quarterbacks as well. Kolb has been too inconsistant for me so far. His completion percentage has only been around 55%. Not happy about that at all. He has shown his upside but IMO has not dispelled the concerns about his play yet.
I was skeptical at first
Not because of his playing ability, more about what we would have to give up for him (trading DRC is huge now with Toler going down for the year). But so far I am very happy with what I have seen. Big upgrade over last year, and once he gets the offense down (it is obvious that he still needs to work out some chemistry issues with the WRs) I think he will be very good for us.

What was the general consensus about Kolb in Philly?

Mixed. I think most people were on board with trading away McNabb and going with Kolb when all that went down, but it wasn’t unanimous.
He got off to a really bad start Week 1 last year and a ton of people were down on him, understandably so. And then once Vick came in and did what he did, it became obvious that the Eagles would trade Kolb. I think the people that really follow football know how good he is (and can be), whereas the casual fan is just going to say “Kolb sucks, Vick is great.” It’ll take some time, but he’s going to be really good. It might not all come together this year, but I can guarantee you’ll see some unmistakable flashes of great QB play.
Considering how little time he's had to prepare
He’s been good. Plus, that 80 yard TD to Fitz got me pysched for the season all over again.
