Greetings, Cards faithful. Tonight is the last preseason game, against the Broncos. A time to evaluate positions and determine who makes the 53. And even though the NFL has yet to play a regular season game, Adam Schein is already handing out awards. Why should Arizona Cardinals fans care? Hit the jump to find out.
It's not for offensive player of the year, in which Schein picks Adrian Peterson over Larry Fitzgerald, Philip Rivers and Andre Johnson. It's for comeback player of the year. Enter Kevin Kolb. Schein thinks Kolb is a perfect fit for Arizona. So perfect a fit that he was chosen ahead of Reggie Bush, Bob Sanders, Vincent Jackson, and Plaxico Burress.
Schein feels that Kevin brings with him changes. Accountability. The drive to put up impressive individual numbers. To change the culture in Arizona. In seeing him mesh with the team, I am in agreement. Kevin Kolb is a leader. Through action and word. He puts in the time. He desires to improve on every performance.
And who knows, with the Cardinals offensive general opening eyes and putting W's in the record book, the Cards might change what Schein thinks now, and have Fitz pull down offensive player of the year as well.
