NFL Week 1, Carolina Panthers At Arizona Cardinals: Open Game Thread (Cont)

Welcome to the second half of the gamethread for the Cardinals season opener. Currently, the Panthers lead by a score of 14-7.

The story of the game is mistakes by the Cardinals. A fumbled pitch inside the redzone, a crack block inside the Carolina 10 yard line followed by a missed field goal, blown coverage on a 77 yard TD pass from Cam Newton to Steve Smith, and an Interception by Daryl Washington overturned by a roughing the passer call.

The Cardinals should have more than 7 points on the board, but they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Gotta clean it up in the second half.

As a reminder, game threads are more lax with the language, but we ought to note we are a community that does not attack other members.

If you see a comment you feel is inapropriate, 'flag it.'

If you like someone's comment, please 'recommend' it, using the "action" link. One post on Monday will highlight the best/funniest comments of the game.

But above all, enjoy the rest of the game and GO CARDINALS!
