An SBN Interview With New Cardinal Mark LeGree

Hey guys, pardon my intrusion. my name's Jacson and I write for the Seahawks' SBN site, Field Gulls. In the 2011 draft, Seattle used one of it's 5th-round picks on FCS ball-hawk Mark LeGree. A couple of unforeseen developments led to LeGree's exclusion from Seattle's final 53-man roster, and he has since been trying out for other NFL teams. Yesterday, he learned that he was being signed to the Cardinal's practice squad. It's a chance for him to stick and to prove his worth in the NFL, and I think you guys will like him if he stays with Arizona for any period of time.

I had a chance to meet Mark after writing this post-draft article on him. Apparently he read it and graciously agreed to do an interview with me for the site. Since then, I've been lucky enough to get to know Mark a little better and I'm wishing him all the best, even though he has signed with a division rival. He is a hard-working guy who has felt just how cold and harsh life on the fringe of the NFL can be. He's excited to be joining the Cardinals, and I hope he sticks around long enough to make a big impression.

I'm pulling for him to have a long and productive NFL career, and I'm glad he caught on with your team. Anyhow, I'm just popping in to post the interview for any Cards fans who are interested. Links to the original article and interview are posted after the jump.

Hope you enjoy it, and I'll butt back out now.
