RotB Pick'em 4.0: Week 3 Results & Week 4 Picks

PrintWeek 3 of RotB Pick'em 4.0 was a rough week, conjuring memories of last year's ineptitude when half the participants were at or below .500 in the early portions of the season. We're not quite there yet, but another 3-5 week and many of us will be pining for a winning record. Six victories is all it took to take home the Week Won Point, shared between azcardswinez, kj197728, and robloosli. Congratuations! SenSurround takes the week off and finds himself atop the standings for his efforts (?!) while azcardswinez and robloosli vie for the lead in the Iron Man Pick'em standings. Detroit (Still have memories of the 12 men on the field Lions upset of the ‘Boys back in ’81 in my head)
Tennessee (I guess? I really have no idea except I have to root for former Colonials HC Palmer now)
Minnesota (Hell, I keep picking the Vikes and they keep losing…)
Houston (Thinking the Texans will surprise on this one)
NYGiants (Sorry, old NFC East angst resurfacing…see ’Skins outcome two weeks prior)
New England (This will be a helluva game, I should scrounge up $5 tickets on eBay…)
Baltimore (Crud, I don’t know, expect the Ravens to learn from Oakland’s victory the week before)
Tampa Bay (This may be it on my 1-7 week…I should just skip this)

Lions were horrible that year...
…Cowboys were the Cowboys. Lions beat them on a last second FG for a major upset except there were 12 men on the field, a fact the refs didn’t catch so the game was over despite Landry’s rare tirade on the sideline. I recall this game being the first major catalyst of “we need a replay review” movement that the USFL did starting in ’83. Arizona Wranglers anyone? Alright, back to my rocker. :wink:

so its stored in various locations. But always within reach for emergencies!
Anyway, I think I can fit those rules. Just have to remember to do this each week when I do other Pick ’Ems.

DAL- seems like this could go either way.
TN- maybe CJ2K will have his breakout game. earn that contract.
MIN- don’t squander another double digit lead in the 2nd half. please.
HOU- I’m hesitant here, but I hate PIT, and Foster is back. Noth that the offense struggled without him.
AZ- hoping for a bounceback win at home.

not that I did...
but it wouldn’t be the dumbest of moves considering they just lost to Seattle. Some people are able to take their personal feelings out of it… I’ve tried, but it doesn’t work. Besides, the day I vote against the cards is the day they’ll rub it in my face with a dominating performance. hmmm, maybe they are onto something?

Pragmatism
If you’ve been a Cardinals fan for any length of time, to pick the team to win every week is delusional, ESPECIALLY against the old divisional foes. a division they won twice in 31 years.

Detroit (The Lions seem to be the real deal, and the Cowgirls struggled to beat the Redskins.)
Tennessee
Minnesota (They have to learn how to hold on to a lead eventually right? Although, I might change this pick.)
Pittsburgh
NY Giants (Sorry, but the way they lost in both of their losses, just doesn’t instill great confidence. Maybe later in the schedule though. I do hope this one is wrong however.)
New England (As someone else pointed out, I don’t think it’s possible for the Patriots to lose 2 weeks in a row.)
