#1. Tommie Harris- He is still quite young and a very talented DT. I like him a lot because he has a similar skill set to DD. I think he could be used to give DD a breather without much drop off. Also, he could be used as a NT/DT/DE in obvious passing downs.
Here are a few of the players I think the Arizona Cardinals should pursue.
2#. Igor O.- He is a prototypical 3-4 End. It was not to long ago that he was a prize in free agency. Still very much in his prime (age). Plus, he would give us more flexibility in our defensive fronts. move DD to the middle and have Igor at the DE on passing downs. For the right price I like him a lot.
#3. Akwasi Owusu-Ansah- I was really high on him going into the draft last year. He is a big DB who is very athletic. He can play both safety and corner, but is still raw. He also returns kicks. I think with the question marks surrounding Adub it would be nice to bring in a young play with versatility and huge upside. Plus, Ray Horton was a secondary coach prior to being a DC. If anyone could develop this talent, Ray could. Ansah is also tall (6'2''), He could be a nice big physical corner (ala Ike Taylor) to pair up with PP.
#4. Myron Rolle- Do not know much about him from a football perspective. But he was a rhodes scholar and good athlete. And again with adub being in question I would like to see some more depth brought in. I know we signed 2 CB's, but Rolle is a safety and apparently he is intelligent.
#5. Brandon Underwood- Another CB/S who is a pretty good player and could help on special teams
#6. Clint Ingram- Solid OLB'er. need I say more. We are fooling ourselves if we think that position is even remotely solid.
#7. Ryan Harris - I do not know if this was a typo, but is saw on NFL.com that he was released. If so, I would like to get him to AZ. he might have to sit out a while (IR, PUP), but he is 27 and could be a stud OT.
Feel free to add other players that you would like to see the cards pursue.
