NFL News: Peyton Manning Underfoes "Cervical Fusion" Surgery

Likely that he will be out for 2-3 months, probably going on IR. It is even possible that this could be career ending surgery.

As an NFL fan, I hate seeing this happen, and I hope that Manning will be able to recover and play again. Hate to see his career end like this.

this is sad news for...

Peyton Manning, the Colts, the NFL, Football in general. If he is done for good I believe it will be a long time before we ever see someone with his talent, character, and football IQ play the game again. I will be praying that he has a quick and successful recovery, but ultimately wish him the best and hope he just recovers in general, whether or not he plays another snap again…

The worst part about this for the Colts

Is that he IS the Indianapolis Colts. He’s the entire reason they make the Playoffs every year. The Colts have become so used to him starting every game that they never really formed a good backup plan.

Just a few days ago, this was supposed to be a short-term injury. I never saw the career-ending injury possibility coming.
