If the Haley plan doesn't fall through
Why don't we go after Kurt Warner, and see if he might want to try his hand at coaching. We've always talked about how great Warner was as a mentor and a leader. Well, there is vacant position at the QB coaching spot, and who better than to have Kurt Warner teach these young guys a thing or two about hurling the ol' pigskin. Its not like we've never talked about it before; many fans were saying this years prior to his retirement. If Warner wants to give coaching a try this would be a good opportunity to leave the broadcast booth and get back onto the field.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

It's a thought we've all had
And it’s something that would be really nice to see happen. I personally would be ecstatic if it happened. But I don’t think this will occur anytime in the near future if it ever does. It’s kind of like me working for UPS as a driver right now. Once I’m done, I don’t want to touch or teach someone how to drive or deliver packages. You get burned out on it… I think that’s why he headed for broadcasting.
Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.
Heres the problem....
When you are a coach you have long nights during the season even more so than players. I don’t think two years out of the league he is going to want to get back into it coaching long crappy hours when he has a great gig maybe 30 hours a week talking football with other former players…. He has a sweet gig… maybe coaching later when kids are grown up
+1
Like the Cardinals? Revenge of the Birds is where to go.
Like Arizona Sports in general? SB Nation Arizona is where you'll get it all.

+1 except for the considering coaching later part
I think Warner is done being down on the field in any capacity. He has done well in the booth and with his clean image, good looks, etc. is likely to get a good permanent gig with a major network. He can make a lot more $$ in the booth with 1/10 (or less) of the time commitment he would have as a coach. He also has become very active in his charitable work. Just don’t see him being willing to go back back to those hours ever.

well i still think its a maybe....
some people never want to leave the game. coaching is an extemtion of playing time you still get to sweat, bleed, be on a team feeling without getting the crap kicked out of you. If he misses it he will be back in come capacity coaching i just think its 10 or 15 years away after broadcasting.
He's doing good as an analyst for NFL Channel
Joe Saunders: "They Giants played a really good game, so hats off to us"
i would hope so...
he had to break down a defense in the 5 secs from the huddle to the centers ass. he better damn well be able to do it on film.
How about Hue Jackson
As an O coordinator? Serious question folks. Before being promoted the HC for the Raiders, he was their OC, and did an exceptional job with what he had.
Just a guy, because I was born that way.
Nah
He was an excellent coach, which is why I hope St. Louis signs him as HC so they stay the F**k away from Horton.

Too much time working with QBs...
Means not enough time in church. Ain’t gonna happen.
confusing headline
“If the Haley plan doesn’t fall through”
Then Haley WOULD be OC for Arizona. I think you mean to say “If the Haley plan DOES fall through…”
