SB Nation Officially Opposes SOPA - From Our Editors - SBNation.com
If you follow legislation at all, you will note that SOPA is attempting to combat Internet piracy. However, SOPA, a current proposal is potentially damaging to the entire network of SB Nation/Vox Media sites, including ROTB. The company has taken a stand. Please read over what we have published and we would not mind a little activism on our communities' part.

Completely agree
This is a big deal going on right now and I hope this bill doesn’t pass. I understand what the government is trying to do but they need to come up with another way of enforcing something like this because it violates the peoples’ rights, even if it is trying to do good with what they are enforcing.

It's typical of our government!!!!!
If noone realizes that our governent has been slowly chipping away at our civil liberties over the last ten years then you’re dumb. I oppose this greatly. Is there any petitions currenlty for this topic?? I will gladly sign and join in!!!!
To each and every person, think of what our govenment does to our civil liberties this way…… if you put a frog in a pot of boiling water it jumps out…. if you put a frog in pot of water and slowly turn up the heat, you cook it. If our government strips us immediately of our civil liberties we retaliate…. if they slowly take them away, we don’t notice or “seem to care”. Sorry about preaching from my soap box everyone! This is just a touchy subject for me.
Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.
Google has one that I signed this morning

It's still in the House of Representatives
I don’t understand how they plan on enforcing this if it ever gets passed (Which it won’t).

This is so true and they do it under the guise of protecting our freedoms. The Patriot Act was the genesis of United States falling victim to fear and not allowing common sense to reign. Sadly we keep allowing this to perpetuate.
I could rant along with you all day long but it serves no purpose in this venue so I will refrain. This is another attempt to slowly drain the American people of freedoms that are our very life blood as a free nation.

Im glad you and I think alike.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one.
Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.
It's not going to get passed
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t even reached the Senate yet. Besides, when you have Google, Yahoo!, and Wikipedia all rallying against it, that’s going to make one unpopular bill.

I see where you're coming from Skii and hope you're right.....
about Google, Wikipedia, Craigslist, Yahoo, etc. being enough. But when there are corporate backed politicians always in office and for too long, there will always be a chance of something like this getting passed. Especially when those politicians are backed by companies such as Viacom, Nike, Visa, etc.. Majority of those companies all have an agenda. That’s why we need someone like Ron Paul in office. Just an opinion everyone. Oh yeah and I’d be crushed to lose ROTB!
