Beanie's knee surgery means that the Cardinals will have top two RBs coming off of knee surgery going in to next season. Anyone at least a little worried?

I guess

It just depends on the surgery. He has been so quiet about what injuries he has had in his career but he has shown to be very prone to injury. We need Williams and Beanie healthy next season.

No.

The OL, QB & CB are my areas of concern. The Mock drafts have us takeing an OLB? Fourth need is KR, unless PP can fill that role, then the ILB and in the Mocks the Butkis award winniner is still there at 13. The one they have us drafting is the 3erd OLB taken, is he better than the best ILB at a possition that we have a need for?
I know off topic.

How the hell is KR a need?

The rule change of moving the kickoff 5 yards really messed with the kickoff return game… Notice seeing many KR’s this year? No? That is because there weren’t many. I can only recall seeing 1 by GB in the first week of the season.

I personally don’t want PP doing KR because he already risks enough injury on PR duties.

Ted Ginn

He scored KR TD and PR TD in the span of a couple of minutes.

Oh yeah

But still, are these the only 2 examples? There are usually far more in a season than 2 if this is the case… It is impossible to argue against saying the new kickoff rule hurts the KR game.

Okay
Kickoffs reaching the end zone occur on 82.2 percent off all kickoffs, an increase of 39.9 percent over 2010. Touchbacks are at 45.6 percent, opposed to 18.3 last year (+27.3 percent).
There have been eight kickoffs returned for TDs (six of which went for 100 or more yards) after 14 weeks, in comparison to 19 TDs after Week 14 a year ago.

So even with nine, it took away over half of the KRs and that is just through week 14 of the season.

Not refuting the point that KR are diminished

but there were TD and some big gains, but no the Cards don’t need a KR. LSH and Jefferson do just fine.

More proof,

our division rivals had a fluke season, but yes the league found a way to all but eliminate the need to scout for kick returning ability.

Yes

the Cardinals have a great need at OLB. Acho and Haggans should start next year, Schofield hasn’t turned into anything special just yet, and Porter should not be back with the team. Offensive Tackle is a big need on both left and right sides, ILB to pair up with Washington and improve over Bradley or Lenon, SS/FS is needed to learn from Wilson and begin to take over as injuries and lack of quality depth hurt the team at times, and Doucet probably won’t be back so another WR should be added. QB will be decided between Kolb or Skelton and CB will be fine with Toler coming back from injury. KR isn’t a need for the team.

Acho is the only starter on the roster

I would like a safety as well. Everyone keeps saying we need a strong safety but I’d take a guy that can play either. I’d prefer a top-tier FS who can roam the deep part of the field better than Rhodes does, personally.

Doesn't really worry me.

I think for one it shows that Beanie is shedding that rep he got of not playing tough or through injury. I think it’s a good thing. We’ll have two RB’s back at full strength. I think this a torn lateral meniscus from what I’ve heard. I had this and it’s not that serious of an injury. Or it’s to clean up this injury which isn’t uncommon.

Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.

Does anyone here,

follow the buckeyes program? I remembered reading about Beanie constantly being injured at OSU, but still only missed a few games because of injury. Just wondering how true this is, and if so we may hear about Beanie being injured his entire career; however I can’t say it bothers me, because the guy blasts defenders and if he can put up a 1000 a season I’ll take it.

I don't

But I have heard and seen plenty of reports of the team kind of ‘babying him’ through college.
