2012 Senior Bowl Open Thread
With this final college football game on the schedule, it is our chance as Arizona Cardinals game to watch the 2012 Senior Bowl and see who some possible draft targets might be for the Cardinals. Likewise, if you have any particular college affiliation, you could be watching to see who the players from your team fare.
If you are watching, please join in to give your thoughts. Perhaps comments about who you would like the Arizona Cardinals to take a look at.
In any case, jump on in...

Glad to see all the activity in here
Game isn’t all that exciting anyway. I’ll just wait for the individual reports to surface.

In a first half full of turnovers,
both O-lines are playing very well.
Mike Adams from Ohio looks like a really good LT prospect
Coples is going top 10 for sure, prolly top 5, dude is a beast! We need to steal Gerelle Robinson if he’s available in the 5th. Upshaw been quiet. Sachs Brown has made some plays. Isiah pead has balled and earned a 3rd rd pick. No DBs really standoit besides Jenkins. Nick Foles looks good!. Weeden throwing picks all day. Kellen Moore is interesting.

Like Foles but I like Criner more
I’ve seen Criner going as late as the seventh, but no way that’s going to happen now.
He's got something of Fitz too.
He’s taller, has a better vertical than Fitz had as a rookie, he hardly drops anything. He’ll be a good WR in the league
No doubt
I expect him to look pretty average at the combine but that’s not what his game is about. He looks polished out there and he’s got surprising football savvy for a college player, in my opinion. Makes me think of Hines Ward.
I was real big on Criner
But I’m even bigger on Gerell Robinson. He is gonna be a stud in the NFL. Julio Jones style.

yea it was
But wouldn’t have been possible without that block. I like robinsons size/speed/hands, those 3 aspects of his game are elite. He needs to improve his routes and who better to teach him then Fitz? I like this kids future with Fitz as a mentor

I like Foles,
even though he is a filthy wildcat. He is tall, which is a neccessity for our offense.

Eh,
He’s got the physical gifts to be a legend, but doesn’t seem to have a fire inside.

Looked like he had plenty of fire to me
He was one of the only guys who still seemed to give a damn near the end of the year.

And during the workouts this week, all of the reports said that Foles looked bad and that Weeden looked like the best Qb there

Moore also had a rough week of practices
They both did pretty well in the game. I was surprised at Weeden. I still like Russell Wilson. I am starting to get the feeling that someone is going to fall in love and take him a lot earlier than anticipated, but we’ll see. Kirk Cousins won me over a little bit — I’d think about him in the middle rounds.
I don’t have a very good feel for who is going to go where outside of the top two of this QB class.
I heard good stuff about Foles all week
One analyst even said after watching him at practices then watching tape on him, thathe was clear cut the 3rd best QB in the draft.
It’s between him n Weeden obviously but Foles outplayed Weeden today. Although he did have his favorite Target to throw to. Weeden just threw to many pics.

Thank you! Adams is going to keep climbing the charts. I really hope the Cards through some means grab Adams in the draft.

Im actually hoping he is our first rd pick as well
Trade down into the early-mid 20s for a 2nd or 3rd rd pick and draft Adams is my perfect scenario right now.

That's been my exact scenario I've been pimping on ROTB since the seasons end. That would be a perfect day one of the draft to me.

Upshaw had a good day
Played the edge responsibly even though he didn’t have as much of an impact as a pass rusher in the game as he did in practice. The guy has a motor and was around the ball consistently. I didn’t think Ingram made much of an impact.
I’ve been watching Vinny Curry all week and I am interested. The guy weighs 265 but I have only heard about him as a 4-3 DE. Still, he was rated in the second-round before this and there’s no doubt he helped himself with a strong week of practice and a good showing in the game. I wonder if any 3-4 teams will take interest.
Another couple OLB prospects I’m interested in: Shea McClellin and Cam Johnson. I think these guys are going to be options in the third round and later. Johnson had a good week of practice but I didn’t get to see a whole lot of him in the game — one I’ll look for when I re-watch. He might be gone by the third. The only time I noticed McClellin, he was standing up, playing zone coverage. I’m not sure what kind of a showing he had but his career is interesting to me — he played DE, OLB, and nickel CB at Boise. If he has coverage instincts and that kind of athletic ability at 248, color me interested.
The two inside linebackers that stood out to me were James-Michael Johnson and Bobby Wagner. JMJ could be the banger we are looking for in the third round and it was nice to see him come up with a pick towards the end of the game. Wagner should be gone by the time our pick comes around again, but he’s just so good in coverage it’s tough not to like him. I don’t know if he can play the run but it’s a moot point since he’ll be long-gone anyway.
Did anyone keep an eye on Cordy Glenn or Mitchell Schwartz? They’re players I will have to look out for when I go back through the game.
Glenn looked pretty damn good from what I saw. I missed a bit of the 2nd half so...

Upshaw,
seems to be more of a product of Saban than a menace on the field, he has bust written all over him.

I dunno about bust
But I don’t see him being a starter for a while.

That's was he showed today. Beyond that I hold my final judgement until the combine.
