Wiz thoughts.....
Okay so i just wanted to put a poll out there:
I feel that Wiz is the type of coach that I want to keep in the position for the next 25 years. I know he is signed to 2018 or something like that., but Look at his record. He has had 4 non losing seasons in 5 years (no coach has had more than one in 20 years in the valley previous), he is the all time leader in Cardinal Playoff Wins (4, that's sad in 100 years really?), 2nd all time winningest coach (Don Coryell, 42), oh yea and HE TOOK THE FRIGGEN CARDINALS TO THE SUPER BOWL. So my question is this If you could would you sign Wiz to a 25 year extension (if you could figure out salary and bonuses for that long and stuff like that) if you could or would you risk losing him every 3 -5 years either by him leaving for more money because he does well or him leaving because of a down year or two? If you had a choice what would you rather choose?

Uh...
The Steelers have proven that staying consistent will bring you the most success, but 25 years is a ways out there.

Part of the reason that coach's contracts are only 3-5 years is too keep them hungry
That’s just part of the job.

I don't like either one of the poll options
He needs a nice deal but not some ludicrous 10+ year deal (hopefully sarcasm). He has done a good job for us (mostly) and I would like to see him stay as our team responded very well after the bad start. I believe we are heading in the right direction.

10 is max
I do agree that we should lock him up long term but 25 years is just crazy. Even if the Cards approached Whiz and said “hey we got an offer for 25 years” Whiz would probably say no. It’s just to long of a contract
Yeah
25 years in today’s age of profession sports is just insane. So much of it is demanding success and if we have a run of bad years people would be clamoring for a new coach as it always happens.

No coach warrants a quarter-century contract
That is just absurd in this day and age. In fact I can think of very few professions where that length of contract is remotely plausible.
This is a joke right?

I took this to mean would we as fans like to see Whiz be the coach for years and years to come. Based on Whiz's work thus far I would say yes. If indeed it was meant literally then well.... uh no.
