Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Arizona Cardinals' practice on Wednesday concluded with an update as to the health of their wounded players.

As the Arizona Cardinals prepare to take on the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, they will be doing so without the quarterback that has led them for all but three full quarters of the season. Kevin Kolb is expected to be sidelined for the next 6-8 with a rib injury, leaving John Skelton as the sole viable option for the Cards to rely upon.

Elsewhere, LaRod Stephens-Howling has been removed completely from the injury list, but his best friend in the backfield, Anthony Sherman, is still not practicing with a knee injury.

Here is the full injury report:

Full

Jim Dray (knee)

Adam Snyder (elbow)

Paris Lenon (knee)

Limited

Darnell Dockett (hamstring)

Todd Heap (knee)

O'Brien Schofield (knee)

Michael Adams (hamstring)

Quentin Groves (hamstring)

Did Not Participate

Kevin Kolb (ribs)

Anthony Sherman (knee)

Greg Toler (hamstring)

Reggie Walker (head)

Kerry Rhodes (back)

Out of all the players that did not participate, it does not sound as if Kerry Rhodes or Toler will be ready to go this weekend. Obviously, both of them will be missed in the secondary. The good news is that Adams' health is apparently improving, which justifies the team's cutting of Crezdon Butler.

We will have to wait and see on Sherman and Walker, although it would be nice if they were able to play. Both of them add to not only offense/defense, but they are two of the better special teams players as well.
