Arizona Cardinals roster moves: Crezdon Butler back with team, now on practice squad

The cornerback joins the team for the third time.

The Arizona Cardinals made a move to their practice squad on Tuesday, swapping out one cornerback for another. The team released CB Greg McCoy and replaced him with CB Crezdon Butler. It is the third stint with the team for Butler, who was just let go a week ago when the team brought back offensive lineman Pat McQuistan.

Butler was claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers after the end f the 2011 preseason. He was cut from the Cardinals after this preseason was over, signed with the Washington Redskins, subsequently cut after two games, re-signed with the Cardinals then cut again.

Now he joins the practice squad.

Butler has had an unfortunate stay with the Cardinals. He injured his foot in 2011 and ended on injured reserve.
