Fans of the Arizona Cardinals are waiting to see the move that the team makes now that running back Ryan Williams is lost for the season with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. However, that move might not come right away.
Said Ken Whisnehunt to the media after practice on Monday, "I feel good about the guys that we've got. We're always going to look to get better at every position and if that opportunity is there, then we'll certainly try to act on that."
The team has LaRod Stephens-Howling returning from a hip injury, William Powell and Alfonso Smith. They also have two fullbacks on the roster in Anthony Sherman and Reagan Maui'a. They might not make any changes, as the team typically only goes with three active running backs on gameday anyway.
However, one target that Cardinals fans have been hoping or expect the team to contact might actually be a target of the team, but not yet.
Running back Tim Hightower, who was with the team from 2008-2010, is available, although he is recovering from a knee scope he had.
Tweeted Jason LaCanfora:
For those who were asking about Tim Hightower before, sounds like he's 2 more weeks away from being healthy. I expect AZ to keep an eye out

This may be exactly what the Cards do. Expect them to see how the current roster does and if it isn't enough, then they bring back someone familiar with everything.
