Some people seem to not understand the extreme dislike of many of our fans for our dislike of Kevin Kolb. Most arguments on this front devolve in "LOL U THINK SKELTON BETTER???" when in reality we know he's not. In fact they are basically the SAME EXACT QB. The hatred for Kolb stems from the fact that we paid millions of dollars for a dumpster fire of a QB that is only marginally better then our $500,000 back up.

But Kolb won, many would refute. When in reality Kolb just managed not to lose despite his best efforts to do just that. People knock Skelton for game ruining throws but they are little different from the terrible Kolb decisions that could have easily made this team 1-8. You want to know the really real reality of why our team began to lose? A drop off in defensive performance. This is mostly due to the fantastic bouts of random injuries that have been plaguing our entire team since week 1.

Some basic defensive stats, broken up between win streak and fail streak.

G1) 3 sacks, 1 Int, 1 FF, 4 point difference

G2) 4 sacks 1 int, 2 point difference

G3) 5 sacks, 3 FF, 21 point difference

G4) 4 sacks, 2 Int, 2 FF Won (OT), 3 point difference

Totals: 14 sacks, 6 Forced Fumbles, 3 Interceptions

G5) 1 sacks, 1 int, 14 pt difference

G6) 2 sacks, 1 int, 1 FF (Lost - OT), 3 point difference

G7) 2 sacks, 1 int, 7 point difference

G8) 3 sacks, 21 point difference

G9) 1 Sack, 1 FF, 1 Int, 14 point difference

Totals: 9 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles, 3 Interceptions

From this I see that we were winning when our team was playing lights out defense and getting great pressure on the other team's QB. A drop off in that, mostly due to injuries and some Petersen durp steps has cause this team to begin to fail. We're losing in the field position game where we were doing rather well to begin with.

So blame Skelton for us losing, he's part of the problem and I agree. The reason I HATE Kolb is because he is the same kind of terrible and was paid far more than he was ever worth. Him, Derek Andersen, and Matt Leinart are in the same awful league of QBs.
