Michael Bidwell: "Whiz, we are going to give you one more year, but Grimm and Miller have to go before you drive out of the parking lot. Plus you have to call and beg Haley to come back and PROMISE not to do any play calling. Also, it might be a good idea to can your "I have a plan" crap and develop a plan which matches our current personnel's strengths. Warner retired a few years back and he is not coming back in case you have forgotten. On top of that we are trading Larry to the 49ers for a 2020 draft pick". Well, he almost got it right. Some serious housecleaning is in order. We went to the SB essentially with Denny's team, and though the cupboards aren't bare, the china is certainly being mishandled and broken.
There is no easy answers or quick fixes in the NFL or Jerry Jones would have found them. Moves we make need to be decisive. Skelton is done here. I like him, but psychology says he won't be happy. Larry, the ultimate team player, well we all can see what is going on. Our OL tries but clearly putting a rook QB behind a struggling line is a recipe for disaster and certainly the players KNOW THIS!! Clearly the offense is not responding to the coaches. Do we change out half the team or a few coaches? Hmmm.....Horton, while an excellent coordinator, might not quite be HC material, i.e., Haley.
I like our team, but they are quickly losing confidence and hope. No amount of pontification by Whiz is going to turn it around. Management needs to come out of the loge, and get down on the field, tell the guys they are going to fix it and start making moves, even if it is a little ass patting to get things started. If I don't see changes, my tickets for next year will just be "Return to Sender".
Like it, lets get it done or Dude, put down the Kool Aid?
