After two-plus weeks of Lindley, the Cardinals will start Skelton against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Cardinals head coach Ken Wisenhunt has announced John Skelton as his quarterback for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to the Arizona Republic's Kent Somers. The announcement comes after two straight starts by Ryan Lindley, where the rookie struggled mightily. The Cardinals have now lost eight straight games and are looking to jumpstart an offense that hasn't scored over 20 points since Week 4.

After sending shockwaves through the NFL after starting 4-0 with a healthy Kevin Kolb, the Cardinals have sunk to the bottom of the NFC West and are playing quarterback roulette. Skelton initially replaced Kolb, who suffered a severe rib injury against Buffalo in Week 6. But after four starts, just two touchdowns and three interceptions Skelton was replaced by the rookie Lindley during Arizona's Week 11 game against Atlanta. Lindley, a sixth-round draft pick out of San Diego State, did little to solve the Caridnals' quarterback problems, throwing five picks in his two starts.

Now grasping at straws, the Cardinals are facing a defense that is top five against the pass in Seattle. This should only exacerbate a problem that has already seen a member of the Arizona press call for open tryouts for the position. When you've lost eight in a row, what could a little publicity hurt?
