I agree slightly with John Clayton on Whiz

John Clayton, when referring to Whisenhunt said, "The mistake would be letting this coach go, he's too good of a coach, he knows offense, players play for him."

He is right that Whisenhunt is a good coach, but that is not the issue here. It is the players he drafts and signs in FA that is his Achilles Heel. While he has drafted and signed a few good players, the majority of them have not been great.

When Whisenhunt was at his peak with the team he had players that Dennis Green had drafted or signed via free agency. Before Whisenhunt came in we were a team with good players, but bad coaching and that led to most of our losses. With Whisenhunt's coaching philosophy the team improved dramatically and the Cardinals had a couple great years.

Whisenhunt needs to get back to only focusing on coaching if he does stay on as head coach. If he does stay on the Cards need to bring in a new GM who is in charge of the draft and free agency. No more signing the Derek Anderson's of the NFL and drafting O-linemen and QB's after the 5th round. We need someone who can sign and draft quality players that Whisenhunt can coach.

If Whisenhunt doesn't want to lose his power on picking players, then he has to go.
