Vontaze weighed way more than 248 in this photo

Some people on this blog are really into Vontaze Burfict. I'm curious about what they think after seeing his combine results.
First of all, he measured in at 6'1, 248 pounds. That's 2 inches shorter than people originally thought. I guess the good news is that he weighed in at less than 250.
The bad news is, Burfict clocked a 4.93 in the 40. A 4.93! What happened to this guy? He used to be able to play sideline to sideline; his range was spectacular. He was explosive and just plain nasty. This is not the same guy that played in 2009 and 2010.
Also, here's an article that pretty much tells you all you need to know about Burfict
And what about the way he played this year, going from sure-thing All-American to not even earning honorable mention All-Pac-12? Well, it was the coaches fault.
The decisions of coaches also played a role in the lack of production, he said.
"I played average," he said. "I could've played better. That's what hurt me at times. The coaches kind of messed me up. I didn't know if I would start a game or be benched. It hurt me, but I tried to fight through it."
Unbelievable. I used to like this guy, I really did. But after watching him last season, I don't know how anyone can justify drafting this guy before the 3rd or 4th round. He's a train wreck.
