FanPost

We need a running back

In reading many of the "expert" & fan posts there is nary a mention about our lack of depth at RB. My train of thought: Beanie missed 2-games outright & was pretty banged up in several others. The hard working Ryan Williams, while you've got to pull for this guy, is not at all a sure thing to come back (this being a key issue). It seemed obvious to me that A. Smith was not particularly well liked by the coaching staff & C Taylor is done. For those of you who think that Hyphen is the answer, I'd somewhat agree if he is considered 3rd string and used in special packages. If he were to be given a steady (heavier) workload (#2 back) I don't like his chances of staying healthy & productive. Think of what we'd look like "Williamsless"...this is a scary thought. We can get great RB value in rd4, good value in rd5, maybe get lucky in rd6 or we can sign a free agent or released player. We should not stand pat.
