Well, I have been unable to walk away from my computer for about 3 days now due to manning watch. And while everyone has been watching manning there have been some other major developments in the NFL. A few that I want to touch on are the vikings releasing some vets, the colts releasing some vets and lofa tatupa signing with the falcons.

1. the Vikes- the vikings have gone into full blown youth movement cutting both starting guards and Cedric Griffin (mediocre CB for those of you who do not know who he is). I of course am interested in Hutchinson, if we get Manning. He is intelligent and a true veteran who still has some tread left on the tires. If we get manning, Hutchinson would be able to do a great job and help our weak tackles. plus, he has made his money and probably wants to win a ring. What do you guys think. I loved Hutch back in the day, but i can't seem to shake the visions of Faneca from my mind.

2. the colts let some players go - Clark, Wayne, Bullit, Gary B- Again, whether or not I want these guys depends on whether or not we get Manning. If we do, I would love to see us cut heap and sign Clark. He is such a good receiving TE and has amazing chemistry with Manning. I do not really want Reggie Wayne, but at the right price I would love to see him in cards red. we would basically have the Indianapolis Offense from 2 years ago, but add fitz and some good running backs. The offensive lines are about the same. again, would you guys want to see Clark and Wayne in AZ?

3. And the most interesting to me- falcons sign tatupa, which makes it seem like they will let Lofton walk. I have always liked Lofton. He is a legit thumper from the MLB position and I think he would make a beautiful duo with DWash. Plus, If we cut Bradley we can free up the cap space to add Lofton to our roster. This seems like the exact type of lower profile move that will bring in a young player to upgrade or D. Again... thoughts?

All that being said, I am hoping to see some updates on manning in AZ soon. If we get Manning, all bets are off and we are fully into win now mode. Mortgage the future and put the pieces in place to make a run at a Superbowl.
