The free agency period has begun for the NFL and the Arizona Cardinals began with getting some help on the offensive line. However, with the upcoming NFL Draft in April, the Cardinals are likely to look for more help, particularly younger talent to develop on the line.
With the 13th pick in the draft, there is the possibility to land an offensive tackle, a great guard prospect or even a pass rusher or receiver.
In the latest version of SB Nation's mock draft of the first round, the Cardinals do in fact add talent to the offensive line, drafting Stanford OT Jonathan Martin.
Whether the Cardinals land Peyton Manning or not, they could stand to give their quarterback some protection. Levi Brown is walking away in free agency, allowing another team the privilege of overpaying for his mediocre protection. Fine. Martin should be better on day one, even as a rookie.
Still available are G David DeCastro and LB Luke Kuechly.
Is Martin the right pick with those guys available?
