Okay always a lineman at heart. I see the line shaping up one of two ways.
If the cardinals tackle they want falls to them they grab him he becomes left tackle and Brown becomes RT. Now I know wiz doesn't want to just give the jobs to rookies that is not the way he does things. So even if we do draft the tackle he wants, I still think Brown goes into Training camp as the Starting LT and wiz makes the LT we drafted beat Brown. As of right now I don't know if their are any tackles we can draft that can beat Brown, unless we trade for Kalil. At the same time Brown is taking the RT snaps with second team. Who is at RT you ask well Snyder is taking first team snaps with RT and Second team snaps with RG. Its easy now if LT beats brown Brown is RT and Snyder is RG to start the season if not then Brown starts at LT (until next year) Snyder is starting RG or RT depending on or last FA linemen we pick up.
Tackles are all off the board (the one we want anyways). DeCastro is there (one of these two senarios have probably a 98% chance of occuring most have decastro falling past us and being picked up by Dallas or us getting him or us getting a Tackle.) Now We get DeCastro, Brown is starting LT for another year, and Snyder is starting RT This year. Simple. Brown is superior RT to Snyder, Snyder is a solid pickup because he can be a back up or push whoever DeCastro and Brown. Now if some how we do get DeCastro and a RT Free Agent then that works out even better Snyder and DeCastro battle it out in camp and we go back to Wiz making him earn his spot again. If he does earn his spot and beats Snyder then Snyder is back up RG and RT (solid back up ) Brown is RT and Free Agent LT is starter.
The reason I am pulling for DeCastro is because I still want to see what Brown has (1) and I think Brown (God Forbid Me ) is better than the 3rd best Tackle in the draft for another year or two (2). So if that is the case and he isnt going to start right away i think DeCastro can beat out almost anyone we put at guard and that makes a damn solid inside of a line we are going to have for 4 more years (Sendline, Coolidge, Draft pick all signed for 4 years) (Snyder and Brown just got 5 year contracts). Let say Brown does grade out badly again this year and is our weak link again. Then We make a push for FA LT or see if we can trade for the stud LT of the draft next year.
I never thought in a million years that I would say this but I'm now firmly on the give Levi Brown one more chance train. If he sucks we can make some schemes to help him, like a back in the back field that chips on his way out to the flat or two TE sets to help block if we are going against a stud rusher. Also if he sucks we can move him to RT where he grades out much, much better, and is an upgrade to Snyder provided we get that last piece to the line we have been waiting for.
