With the 13th selection of the 2012 Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select...
Hey guys! I’m here on behalf of the Phinsider (Miami Dolphins fanpage). Anyway, at the Phinsider we are conducting a community mock draft where those who signed up were randomly assigned to the GM position of one of the 32 teams in the NFL. As you can imagine, I was assigned to your beloved Arizona Cardinals.
I’ve been off and on researching and gathering information on who the consensus first pick for the Cardinals would be. It seems to me like Cardinals fans, like Miami fans, are all over the place with this pick. I’ve noted that the major needs/wants for your team is a pass rusher, OT, OG, ILB, CB, and possibly a speed WR to stretch the field. Am I correct?
So I’ve conducted this poll on behalf of the "Revenge of the Birds" community to gain a better feel for what the Cardinals community wants to see happen. Unfortunately, our rules state that we cannot trade back (or forward) in the draft. So, for the sake of this mock draft, we must make a pick where our team is designated to pick. I realize the prospects mentioned in the poll may be a reach at #13, but as I stated above, we have to stay at #13 and there is no trading. So with this being said, who does the Cardinal fan base want to see picked at #13 in the 2012 draft? Please provide a brief, or extensive, description as to why this is the Cardinals biggest need and why this pick is the right choice.
