Manning Watch Pros & Cons

Some people don't like me. Thats okay I understand.

Anyways, So Pros vs Cons why Manning would come here.

Pros:

Simple Larry - He needs 17,000 yards to pass Brett Farve's yardage mark. Who better to throw to than a guy who was able to catch for 1000 yards from Derek Anderson.

Coaches - Take an aging hall of fame quarterback get his input on how he wants to run the offence, allowing him more control of any situation, in a pass happy style of attack that worked so well it took a perennial losing team to the Super Bowl. Thats weird not many coaches in the league have done that successfully except...........

Win Now- So If I am a Super Bowl winning QB with 200 million in the bank im not about the money I want a team ready to win. I want to come in go 11-5 or 12-4 the first year, not many teams are looking for a QB that would be able to pull that off. We finished 8-8 with Skelton and Kolb last year. Just like Kolb I felt was worth 2 wins over Anderson the previous year I think Manning is worth 3 over Kolb.

Signed Up - We have several stars on our team that have contracts for at least three years, Fitz only has 7 years left on his so thats good, Several key peices that made significant contributions for us were only in their first or second year last year. I think we have a TE in Housier (sp?) that can be the next Clark. Dockett has at least two years, maybe three not sure, left on his contract, CC will probably get a 5 year deal, Washington has a couple years left.

Cap - Convenient We are able to free up cap space from one QB and give it to another QB, hell we may even save a little bit of money if its a performance laden contract. That savings can go to signing a second WR that was on Peyton's old team.

Con:

At the end of the Day their are several other locations that have many of these same qualities. Lets be honest the Cardinals haven't been the same ole Cardinals for quite some time now and I think the Bidwells are doing a good job slowly erasing that stigmata about our culture here, but at the end of the day we are the Cardinals and cant hold our own against Miami, and New York, or even Washington. This is what most scares me, Peyton getting the same deal from one of those teams and going with them because of our name.
