Word From the Birds Blog | Campbell will wait for now
With many of the Cardinals gearing up for the start of voluntary workouts tomorrow morning, it doesn’t come as a surprise defensive end Calais Campbell will hold off until his contract situation is resolved. Phoenix Coyotes look to overcome adversity, bounce back in Game 3 vs. Chicago Blackhawks
It just wouldn't be Coyotes hockey without a few doses of adversity. They were jolted in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series against the Blackhawks when their top goal scorer, Radim Vrbata, left the game early after being sent into the boards by rookie center Andrew Shaw. The Coyotes' hopes were buoyed when Vrbata returned for Game 2. Now, more uncertainty awaits them as they head into Chicago for Tuesday's Game 3 with their series tied at one apiece. Questions surround the status of two players crucial to their playoff hopes -- the Coyotes lost center Martin Hanzal in the first period of Game 2 and winger Lauri Korpikoski in the third.
