The Arizona Cardinals, as with the rest of the NFL, had their regular season schedules announced. For just the fourth time in 25 years, the Cards will open at home. They will host their division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks. They also will get to play on national television in prime time twice. It was announced previously that every team would get at least one game in prime time this season.
Arizona plays a Thursday night game in Week 5 in St. Louis against the Rams. They then host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8 for Monday Night Football, where there have been some memorable moments. On Monday night in San Fran, the Niners lost on poor clock management at the goalline and time expired. Then just two seasons ago at home, Derek Anderson had his famous meltdown, where he told us just how serious he takes things.
The Cardinals will have a late bye, in Week 10, which will certainly be a welcome time and allow them to rest up for the stretch run.
