Yo whats up everybody! This post is basically my version of "Bird droppings." Im gonna drop some links on you to some stories, articles, and websites that I found interesting and entertaining. Browse around and Im sure you will find them as enjoyable as I!
I came across this article the other day that was explaining how/why Alex Smith was able to play so good last season in regards to not turning the ball over and beating blitzes. After I read it it was clear to me that the way to beat SF is to take away the underneath routes and check downs. Without those, Alex Smith isnt very good.

Regarding the LeBeau style defense (which we run), just will give you some insight to some of the concepts and schemes we use.

On Troy Polumalu and Ed Reed (Also Adrian Wilson, although he isnt mentioned) and how they make the offenses work so hard and game plan around them specifically. When you read this one, apply all the same rules and examples to Adub because Horton used him the same way Troy is used and Wilson was arguably more effective. I particularly like the explanation of the Quarters coverage they talk about because I recall us using it quite often last season.

And Finally the mother link: This is the site I spend alot of time on. This is where I found the links to and came across all these stories I just posted. You could literally hang around this site and the other sites it links you to for hours and hours! You will learn so much about football if your just a casual fan that doesnt understand all the nuances and specifics.
Id love to discuss any of these topics with all who read them. Feel free to drop some comments or questions that you have in the comments section!
Enjoy!
