Interesting Choices for the Cards 13th Overall Pick

The Cardinals have an interesting decision this Thursday. With the 13th overall pick this year the Cards could really shape the latter half of the first round. Should they take BPA? Reach? Trade down? Up?

This is probably the first time, in a very long time, that I am an advocate of the Cards trading down in the draft. The 2nd round talent this year feels really deep and it would be nice for the Cards to be able to cash in on that, only problem is that they don't have a 2nd round pick this year (courtesy a la Kevin Kolb).

If the Cardinals can manage to get a 2nd round selection this year, I would be all for the Cards to move down and target players like Dont'a Hightower or Jonathan Martin and then pounce on a 2nd round prospect like Chandler Jones, Mohamed Sanu, or Bobby Massie.

However there are still interesting options on the board. The Cards could take Luke Kuechly, David DeCastro, Riley Reiff or Michael Floyd at the 13th spot (the most common mocks I have seen). And there is also talk of players like Justin Blackmon, Trent Richardson or Matt Kalil making serious falls during the draft. Of course the Cardinals could also go unconventional and take a player that shows serious potential at a position that isn't of immediate need like DB with Mark Barron or DT like Michael Brockers or Fletcher Cox.

Regardless this should be at least an interesting draft for us Cards fans (hopefully it isn't too much like the old Cardiac Cards though).

But if you were GM what would you do with the Cards 13th overall selection?
