3-4 OLB Prospects: Third Day, Who's Your Guy?

Day Two of the Draft has come and gone and it's about time we start looking to fortify our OLB group. There should be some value available at our fourth pick, with players once expected to go as high as the second having already fallen out of the third. This is great news for fans as plenty of good players are still on the board, and great news for the front office who will be able to use "value" and "best player" as excuses for taking these guys instead of offensive tackles.

Following is an athletic chart and projected round for the players I have tabbed as 3-4 OLB prospects alongside a few of my thoughts on the remainder of the class. Make sure to leave your comments on who you like and what you think we should do.

The "Elite Average" stat-line was established in the Intro post. If you're confused, I encourage you to check it out first. You will also find a quick explanation of all the figures presented in the table.

Org Rd is the draft range the player's original projection fell under.

New Projected Group: 4th-5th
I'm not surprised these players fell to where they are. Johnson's a big guy and not quite the ideal athlete you want as an OLB, although I think he could be the best overall player here. They are all project players with enough ability to contribute as rotational players right away, with the upside to become key pieces in year two.

New Projected Group: 5th-6th
Miles Burris led all these players in fan voting by far when I asked "Who would You Draft?" He's the guy that most seem to have heard of already, and in my initial scouting I grouped him with a number of lesser peers. He doesn't stand out as much as an athlete in this group so I am curious if anyone changes their mind.

New Projected Group: 6th-Und
Small-schoolers and stand-out athletes who didn't produce quite as much as scouts would have wanted dominate this set. I would not be surprised to see a couple guys called as early as the fifth due to upside.

Where do You Take an OLB?
Due to the berth of players in each area I simply want to know where you, personally, are going to be thinking about taking an OLB. I'd love to hear your thoughts on some of these players in the comments, and whether your choice in the poll is based on a specific player or more about where you see need aligning with value.
