It's the End of Day 2.
Day 2 of 3 of the NFL Draft is in the books, and another pick from our Cardinals Front Office that has seemed to disappoint a plethora of fans. Lets see how our Rivals Picks match up to ours
With the 39th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams Select... Janoris Jenkins CB Northern Alabama: A solid pick up for the Rams. Jenkins has everything you need to be an elite NFL Talent but one thing... His personality stinks. He has several kids with 2 different woman, and has plenty of other Off Field issues. If he expects to stay for long in this league and have a future in it he needs to get those things fixed. Other than that very solid pick up and can be a starter from Day 1.
With the 47th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks Select... Bobby Wagner ILB Utah State: Had to take a look into this guy. From what I know of him he's got a tremendous Skill Set. He's a bit undersized for a ILB coming in at 233 and 6'0 tall, but according NFL Analysts that hasn't affected him thus far in his career. He's in the backfield often but never seems to be able to bring down the QB.
With the 50th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams Select... Isaih Pead RB Cincinnati: Another dangerous player added to the Rams. Picking up a speedster of a WR, and now a speedster of a RB. It seems that Fisher wants to convert his Offense to a speed based Offense, while making his Defense play smash mouth Football. I don't see him being anything more than a backup to Jackson, who could really use someone behind him.
With the 61st Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers Select... LaMichael James RB Oregon: This pick hurts me. A Division Rival picking a player who comes from my favorite school, and who happens to be my favorite Duck, makes me want to grab a bottle of milk and a blanky, shove myself in a corner, and cry myself to sleep. But... In all seriousness, this is a great pick up for the Niners. They have a deep RB corps, a deep WR corps, and James can return Punts, which is something that the Niners were short of on their path to the SB.
With the 65th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams Select... Trumaine Johnson CB Montana: For someone who came out of a lower end Division he's a solid player. Like NFL.com says, he is one of the more polished players to come out of the Big Sky Conference in awhile. A good pick up but dangerous all the same. Being in the Big Sky, he never had a chance to play up against some of the better WR's in the NCAA.
With the 75th Pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks Select... Russel Wilson QB Wisconsin: Interesting pick. They got Flynn, and they have Tavaris Jackson to back him up. Not sure if Wilson is there to compete, or if he's there to battle for the 2nd Spot on the Roster. Should be interesting for him.
And that's it for Day 2 of the NFL Draft. It was a day of interesting picks, and tomorrow should be better, with the bulk of our Picks then. What are your thoughts on today's events? You know where the comment box is.
