With the talk of the draft starting to sizzle, I'd like to think I tend to see the majority of the community is set on BPA regardless of what position they are playing. I for one am a huge advocate of it, why not get the best player we can get even if we are stacked at the position. Reaching for an offensive tackle has garnered some discussion, I hope it does not happen.
The talent is there on our offense to be good, but for some reason the offense is slow and stagnant, we still have the same questions about our Quarterback situation as we did last season, some place blame on the QB's others like to place the blame on the offensive line. We have a starting running back who has yet to stay healthy for a full 16 games, and a second round draft pick that we lost for the season that we know nothing about, last but not least LaSH is every bit as good as Darren Sproles but would lose his effectiveness if asked to carry half the offensive load. The only sure thing we have on offense as of now is Larry Fitzgerald, his supporting cast has shown they can produce, but either Doucet or Roberts needs to start making secondaries fear them. As far as TE's go the talent is there, but again much like Fitz supporting cast they need to start making the league take notice.
Entering this draft I hope the front office completely neglects the offense and forties our defense, unless the BPA is an offensive talent a dozen slots higher on the board than any defensive talent. They say the best offense is a great defense, so it's time to dedicate 2012 to giving Ray Horton all he needs to produce a defense that will blitz, pick, and sack their way to the top 3.
