I was scoping out nfl.com as usual and came across this article which made me think of the new and forming rivalries of today . The article talks of rivalries of yesterdays past and how they should live again. As a fan of the game I agree these classic rivalries would be great to see once more but if their dead their dead. I would love it if national media would allow the rivalries of today to present themselves naturally. Alas the media, when it comes to sports, always wants to shove certain teams down your throat and it's tiring. It's always the history of the game. The past that needs to be relived. Hop...

As a fan I can appreciate rivalries as that's a huge part of being a fan. The 2012 Cardinals season wouldn't be complete unless we faced the Whiners and butted heads with their fans. In years past and still today it's the Cowgirls that gets us Cardinals fans fired up. I guess all I'm trying to say is let the games have meaning if they have meaning. As a fan of the game I just want the rivalries of today hyped up no matter which teams are involved and not based on some media rehashing. Is it just me or is the history of the game hyped up to the point of nausea? What's your take on rivalries past and present? Anyway my rant now comes to an end.
