Did I Just Say That

The San Francisco 40 Whiners have had some success according to last seasons run. Along with just about all Niner fans, that one year has derailed them from what I like to call "reality". Ok, so they went 13-3, still losing to the Big Red Wave during their last meeting, 13-3 is a good record to have in the regular season. We know what happens next, no Superbowl due to, a dropped pass where was the best hands in football then? But the reason for this post is to enlighten the Red Bird Nation that Harbaugh seems to have been hit in the head.

Jim Harbaugh was a teammate of Marvin Harrison’s for two years. He was an assistant coach on a Raiders team that had Jerry Rice and Tim Brown. He was a contemporary of Steve Largent and Cris Carter. As a boy who loved football he surely grew up watching Fred Biletnikoff and Lynn Swann. He’s no doubt watched NFL Films footage of Raymond Berry. In his first year as the 49ers’ head coach his team played against

Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson,he’s seen many great wide receivers with great hands. "Crab’s got the best hands I’ve ever seen on a wide receiver," Harbaugh said on KNBR-680, via CSNBayArea.com.

Holy **** did he just say that? I am not even going to go through the WR's Harbaugh has seen since he has been in football, but how is it you game plan for Fitz who probably is facing more double teams than any WR in NFL history twice a year and is known for his hands still find the nerve to say Mike Crabby Patty has better hands. Not to mention Crab was not even in the top 15 in receptions.

Here is some good hands for you.

NOTICE THE OTHER HAND BEING OCCUPIED WITH A HELMET

Mike Sando of ESPN.com wrote up a little piece about players catch to drop ratio for the 2011-12 season. Fitz recorded a 80:1 catch to drop ratio. I want that on my team, wait it is on my team. The next closest was Tony Gonzalez at 40:1. For the second best receiver in the league Calvin "My Routes Are Not As Crispy as Fitzgerald's Routes" Johnson came in at a whopping 24:1, being completely facetious.

All in all I am sure this was just a confidence booster for Mike "Crabby Patty" Crabtree who needs it, cause to be honest with you I don't think he is better than Early Doucet, but that is a whole different convo. In closing one more good catch for the road.
