Cornerback Patrick Peterson had himself quite the rookie season for the Arizona Cardinals. He did not have quite the defensive impact yet, but that was not expected right away in Ray Horton's schemes. However, on special teams he was a difference maker. He set a rookie record for punt return yards, he returned four punts for touchdowns and he blocked a field goal.
He even made the Pro Bowl as a returner.
Now his fellow players honor him by having gotten him on the list of top 100 players.
He was at number 55 overall. Teammates Larry Fitzgerald and Adrian Wilson talk about him, along with Niners kicker David Akers, who had a field goal blocked by Peterson.
Wilson said that Peterson works extremely hard on defense and that he has the talent to be a top three corner in the league.
Peterson knows he has work to do and has some ambition. He's not happy with being just number 55.
"That's definitely special that I have the respect from my peers around the league, to consider me in the top 100," Peterson said. "It gives me something to work on through the rest of my career. I want to get into the top 10."
Does Peterson deserve to be higher or lower on this list? Does he deserve to be on the list at all?
