6-11-12: Arizona Cardinals Bird Droppings - Offseason Stuff

Very quiet news day yesterday, so not much to report at all today. Sorry about that.

Arizona Sports News:

Arizona Diamondbacks sweep Oakland Athletics, back to .500
It wasn't as convincing of a win as the Diamondbacks have come to expect in recent days, but then again, manager Kirk Gibson said he wanted to see how well his team responded in a close game. He got his wish on Sunday afternoon and his Diamondbacks didn't disappoint, delivering a 4-3 victory to complete a three-game sweep of the Oakland Athletics at Chase Field. It was the team's fifth consecutive win, establishing a new season high. The victory also brought the Diamondbacks back to .500 (30-30) for the first time since May 5 when they were 14-14.

NFL News:

Brian Banks Accepts Seahawks Minicamp Offer - SBNation.com
Brian Banks, the 26-year-old former high school football star who spent more than five years in prison on a rape charge of which he was recently exonerated, has accepted Pete Carroll's offer to formally work out for the Seattle Seahawks at their minicamp, according to the Associated Press. He will miss the first day, however, while he works out halfway across the country for the Kansas City Chiefs.
