Brian Banks will take part in 49ers 3-Day Rookie Minicamp

Just a quick one, Sando reports that Brian Banks will be participating in the three-day rookie minicamp with the San Francisco 49ers after trying out with Pete Carroll and the Seahawks, then the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. He has not yet tried out for the Washington Redskins, but something tells me that he'll end up with the 49ers.

I think Banks has been getting better from try out to try out and I think he'll get picked up somewhere soon, especially if they can stick him on the practice squad or just use him on special teams if they're worried about him getting picked up by someone else. The 49ers dominating defense is a great place for him to learn, and I hope the Cardinals don't regret not giving him a tryout and stashing him onto the practice squad until he could more readily contribute!

Information from ESPN.com's Mike Sando, ESPN.com's John Clayton and The Associated Press was used in this report.
