Favorite Camp Story

With Camp just around the corner, what's your favorite Cardinal Camp story or experience?

I've got two:

1) The first year we just decided it would be fun to go -- 2008. The Cardinals were not on the radar, especially to win the Superbowl, in Aug of 2008. Me and a couple of buddies decided we wanted to get out of the heat for the weekend and drove up to Flag on Friday night, rented what looked like a condemed hotel room and woke up early for the Red and White practice and autograph signing. We showed up, maybe an hour early, for the autograph siging and still had great opportunity. We got EVERYBODY that morning. Fitz, Warner, Dockett, Dansby, Wilson, Whiz, Boldin, E.James, everyone. It was great. You could just walk up, shake their hand, and tell them how excited you were--without a kid in tote. We moved from there to the practice field and just happened to sit by the end zone where they do the goal line scrimmage. Phenominal! To see these guys that close, truly amazing!

Now, you're lucky to get one premuim autograph, let alone a collection of them, WITH kids.

2) A couple of years later sitting in that same spot during the R&W scrimmage and watching Larry catch a pass in the end zone, toe tap to make sure he got the score and then stumbling to catch his balance only to stop about 2 feet from where I was sitting while the defense was thundering behind him like a bunch of Claisdales. Just took the breath out of me for about 2 sec's as my heart raced in excitement and fear.

Can't wait for this year - I know it's going to be crazy but that's the price you pay for having superstars on your team. Hopefully, I'll be able to get Floyd's autograph. After that, I don't think there will be much more time. See you all in line at the butt-crack of dawn Saturday morning!
