Arizona Cardinals Flag Football: Jess' 2nd Pick

After taking Patrick Peterson with my first pick, I knew I had the best possible overall flag football player that the Cardinals have on their team. Tyler took Ryan Williams, who was honestly on my radar, but not for this pick. Williams ideally is a good choice. He has speed, elusiveness and can catch the ball.

However, he overlooked the second best flag football weapon that is on the Arizona Cardinals, and that is LaRod Stephens-Howling. LSH is the guy I take with my second pick.

Why?

Because he and Peterson are hands-down the best playmakers in space. And what is flag football but playing in space?

In the Hyphen, you get a guy who is extremely fast, very quick, very elusive, can catch and, because of his play on special teams, you feel he can play in coverage. He also would be very valuable as a defensive rusher because his size is not an issue, you can't put hands on him, so he would be able to elude the blockers.

Jesse Reynolds said it all in a comment on Monday.

"The dude is explosive, dynamic and is tiny! His flags will be impossible to grab when their scraping the ground."

Yes, his size actually helps. He may get picked on if caught in man coverage on defense, but I would try and keep him in the middle of the field, where he could make plays on the flags.

Now my team looks like this -- Patrick Peterson and LaRod Stephens-Howling. Offensively, they could be unstoppable. Defensively, I have a cover guy and a speedy rover in the middle of the field and a pass rusher.

I like my chances so far.

What do you think of my pick?
