Adrian Wilson is one of the best Safety's in the NFL, and he just proved it yet again by extending his contract. There have been very few players in the NFL that say they dont do it for the money but for the love of the game, Pat Tillman comes to mind, but few dare to take the risk that Adrian Wilson did to prove when he says he is "in it for the legacy."
From what I understand is that Wilson took less guaranteed money and instead put alot of pay for play incentives in his contract. Now by doing this he did 3 things:
1) Showed every single memeber of this team the right way to handle their business.
2) He made cap room for the resigning of an emerging linebacker superstar to get his well deserved pay.
3a) Just cemented his legacy in AZ cardinals history.
3b) Will no longer ever have to pay for dinner in Arizona again.
A-Dub's leadership will be felt for many years to come, by making cap room, we can now front load a contract or two and have cap space down the road kinda like a snowball effect. Dockett are you paying attention, you are still a star but you are getting older and if you want to be a part of something special then re up..... if its about the money to you then i don't fault you one bit....but we may have to go another direction...
