After a long preseason, after bad play and line problems all of it comes together.

Coach Whisenhunt true to his word allowed an open competition and John Skelton has overtaken Kevin Kolb for the starting quarterback position for the Arizona Cardinals.
Many Cardinal fans may be surprised, after last game many thought that Kolb had won the QB job, even if it was just because of his salary.
Coach Whisenhunt was called egotistical, arrogant and proud yet did what many wouldn't have done. He started a guy getting paid much less than his competitor. Kolb was traded for a second round pick and Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie. Kolb was suppose to be the QB of the future for this team, but he played poorly and opened the door for Skelton.
Skelton showed incredible poise in the pocket last season and this off-season. As many fans have noted, he has made smarter decisions, showed greater touch and commands the huddle like a boss.
As a longtime fan, it is hard not to be excited about the future. Pundits can say what they want; the Arizona Cardinals will be a force this year.

@CardschatterQB position no different than another, Whiz said. Expect Skelton to do job, but if he doesn't do the job, he will be replaced.
While Skelton is now the starter, his job isn't a lock. Skelton will need to perform.

@CardschatterWhiz didn't rule out using Kevin Kolb in spots in games with Skelton, a la Warner/Leinart in 2007, "if it gives us the chance to win"
