After 5 preseason games, we have come to the final roster cuts. Old faces have gone, players who had promise cut. Lets take a look at the final 53.
Two guys were placed on season ending IR (Least for now) those being Richard Bartel and Javarris James. Stephen Williams and Brandon Williams were waived injured, I'll expect one of them to make a roster the other will receive an injury settlement.
And finally the roster cuts...
CB Crezdon Butler -Little surprise
LB Antonio Coleman- Always thought he had potential.
S Blake Gideon- If he isn't signed by another team, he'll be on our PS for sure.
G Russ Hochstein- A camp body, sure he'll be brought in if any injuries pulling someone out of a game.
DT Ricky Lumpkin- He has been saved from paying a $21,000 fine, at least for now.
LB Colin Parker- Also could be a PS guy.
CB Larry Parker
WR DeMarco Sampson
WR Isaiah Williams- His, Sampson, and Stephen Williams release leaves us with 5 WR's possibly hinting that Arizona has their eyes on a WR on the FA wire. (Owens anyone?)
TE Steve Skelton- Surprised Dray beat him out. PS again?
RB Alfonso Smith- Not to terribly surprising. Powell out performed him this preseason.
LB Quan Sturdivant- Not turning out to be the steal that so many fans believed he could be.
DE Everrette Thompson
TE Maretell Webb
C Scott Wedige- PS guy
T DJ Young
LB Clark Haggans
So what do you think? Anyone else who was cut that you think the Cardinals should pursue? Is there anyone on the current roster who should be cut?
