The late games on the Week 2 docket for the NFL have some good matchups. The Dallas Cowboys visit Seattle to take on Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Then you have Jets/Steelers and 49ers/Lions. It should be a good afternoon/evening of football. As for making picks against the spread, keep reading to see who you should put your money on.
Dallas Cowboys (-3) at Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks lost in disappointing fashion in their season opener against the Cardinals, despite starting multiple drives in opposing territory. Tony Romo and the Cowboys started the NFL season with a surprising win over the world champions. Seattle boasts a strong defense, but the Cowboys have a pass rush that will confuse and frustrate the young Wilson. Pick: Cowboys, -3.
Washington Redskins (-3.5) at St. Louis Rams: Robert Griffin, III tore apart the Saints. The Rams looked very tough against an offensively strong Lions team, but still lost. Look for Griffin to more of the same. Playing in Missouri is nowhere near as tough as in new Orleans. Pick: Skins, -3.5.
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers (-6): After looking terrible on offense in the preseason, the Jets puts up a ton of points on the Buffalo Bills. Pittsburgh is consistently strong on defense and at home, but look for Mark Sanchez to have another good outing in his quest to show the naysayers he belongs in the league. even if they don't win, it will be a close game. Take the points. Pick: Jets, +6.
Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers (no line): This was originally a six-point advantage for the Chargers, but now you can't bet it. So...don't do it. I do like the Chargers. Pick: Chargers, straight up.
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers (-7): Detroit was lucky to beat...the Rams. Now they go into the Bay area to play the Niners, who beat the Packers in Lambeau. This is easy. Pick: Niners, -7.
