About a Month ago I guessed that the cards would go 4-0 to start the season. People said i was frigging crazy like this peach from CardsFan1976:
Now on the second game of the season we beat the great New England Patriots 20-18. Ironically this is exactly the way I had the cardinals winning this game. It was the only way they were going to be able to win the games. Its nice to know that Defense can still win games.
People will say that we were lucky he didn't make the field goal, but in the long run we won the game. From my point of view i think it was lucky that Ryan Williams coughed up the ball at all to even put them in that position. At the end of the day the cardinals made one more play, they scored a touchdown when the patriots didn't. They blocked a punt to put them in a position to score the patriots didn't.
No one gives them a shot at all, and its a very long season and who knows what will happen but for two games, the QB position didn't lose the game fore them, the offence did just enough to win, the d play exceptional, the special teams were in a word, special. And at the end of the season I think the cardinals just finished off another team that is going to be in the playoff race right down until the very end of the season. (After all who thinks Seattle team is horrible now that they just beat the Cowboys 27-7?)
Hopefully you believe now. Not in a bunch of players and superstars at every single position (hows that working in Philly?) but in team work. Every single person working for the same goal, the same purpose. How about that teamwork still holds some value. The Cardinals are a good TEAM.... i have said it from the beginning, hopefully you see it.... I know Ghettobox is a believer:
