We are all pleasantly surprised with Quentin Groves play over the last two games. I knew he could be something special for the Cardinals when we brought him in, and with Schofield having injury issues early this season, we get to see more and more of Groves each game.
This caused him to change his lifestyle. He eliminated drinking, people, and everything that was distracting him from becoming the player he was expected to be coming out of Auburn in the 2008 draft. His trip to Arizona was a surprise, when he was expected to be signed by either the Ravens or the Bengals first because they were the first stops before finally coming to visit the Cardinals. But things changed and he came to Arizona first.
His trip here was an eyeopener for him. Both Ken Whisenhunt and GM Rod Graves told Groves that if he came here he would be making big plays. His plan of eliminating the distractions from his life worked.
He's acquired his first punt block, he's picked up his first sack since his rookie season, and more than that, he's more focused than he has ever been in his career. I am wondering when this guy gets resigned. He's only here for the 2012 season, but his play has warranted him to be here for longer, if only as depth.
