Whats up guys? First of all a little about me. I am 32 and was born and raised in the 602 (I-17 and Greenway baby!). I have been playing Madden since it came out. (This is just my personal opinion on the game) It seems to me every year the game gets worse and worse. I read some reviews on the game online and cant believe so many people liked it. It is a horrible game, not just sports game, but horrible game period. I know a lot of you play as well, but I cannot believe EA gets away with holding the exclusive rights to the NFL players, teams, etc. So here we go, I been drinking a little so bear with me. First off, let me state that I only play with the Cards. So I know Ive allready got to overcome that. Thinking the Cards D is gonna keep you in the game? Not so fast my friend. Any team that has a good running back is gonna average 10+ yards against you unless you blitz every time, in which case the opponent can just throw a slant against you. User picks? More like the ball just bouncing right off the defenders hands like a brick. I know this has been a problem with Madden for a while, but still. If Peterson has a clear pick, would he drop it? Not in real life. Skelton is far more accurate this year, too much though. Just about every pass is right on the money. Beanie will average you 5+ yards a carry just about every time. Ryan Williams has some very nice cut moves like in real life. Pass D is horrible. The defender always seems to lag and half the time I press Y (I got a 360) to intercept, the defender wont even put his hands up. Its like he has cement in his cleats. I liked Madden 12 more than the recent games, just because you could control user picks and user catches pretty well. This years game doesnt give you the freedom to control the game like that. Ive noticed that you have a better chance of catching the ball if you just let the computer do it for you. Floyd is a beast, I replaced Gay with Toler and saw an improvement. Also, If you run the Cardinals D, Dockett is not in on most formations. I changed to SF and he was in on every one. Another thing, I played today and Fitz had 3 drops......IN THE FIRST HALF!!!!! If you are like me you will still buy the game if you havent allready. My record in 12 was around 325-200, so its not like Im a slouch. Its just a shame that the NFL sold the exclusive rights to EA to produce NFL teams and such. Since they have no competition, what is their motivation to put a great game out every year? I even wrote Roger Goddell an e-mail regarding this( I know, he will never read it). Bottom line, if you are on the fence about buying the game, my advice would be not to. The sad part is EAs NHL series has been a phonomenal game every year, yet they cannot convert it to a football game. P.S. If any of you want to get a game sometime, my gamertag is mad dog dub dub. All you mad dog 20/20 drinkers out there will understand. And, Im not sure how to do paragraphs, so deal with it
