Wow, I was über surprised to see the Cardinals as the #1 ranked team on the Yahoo Sports Power rankings. The good news is that MJD is crazy and Yahoo Sports does not have the most savvy of sportswriters.

Meanwhile, Joel Thorman of SB Nation and I had a little bit of a deeper chat about the Cardinals and I think his ranking of the Cardinals at #9 is much more lucid.

But what do YOU think? Where are the Cardinals in your power rankings? I personally put us at #12 but I do think we have promise to rise. The defense is certainly a top 5 unit. Kolb is improving but I still don't trust the OL. And of course, the schedule helps. I just can't see after only 3 games that we rise from a general consensus #22 rank to the very top echelon of the NFL. It's a long season and I would be extremely pleased for us to find ourselves at 10-6 or 11-5.
