Beanie Wells is out for at least eight weeks. Are his days in Arizona numbered?
With the news that Beanie Wells is injured and is to miss at least eight weeks is it time that Arizona cuts ties with the former 31st pick in the 2009 Draft? He showed his potential when he ran for 1047 yards last year with 10 TD's, but he's always getting injured and hasn't played a full season. Ryan Williams had a good comeback game against the Eagles and if continues his trend Wells becomes expendable with guys who can step up if Williams needs a breather or goes down with an injury.
There's also this upcoming draft. This class is deep at runningback with Montee Ball, Marcus Lattimore, Eddie Lacy, Le'Veon Bell, and Andre Ellington expected to go early on. Ball has never fumbled in his Collegiate career nor his High School career either. Therefore this makes a separation with Beanie easier to bear, and Free Agency. Another guy worth taking a look at could be coming out of FA. He would be Reggie Bush or Cedric Benson. Both could be good backups or even surplant Ryan Williams as the starting running back.
So what do you think? Is this the last straw for Beanie Wells, or does he get one final chance?
